PHP 6-M fake shirts seized

The National Bureau of Investigation confiscated fake t-shirts worth P6-million in simultaneous raids in Valenzuela City.

Raided were the stockroom and factory of the Platinum Integrated Philippines Corp. in Marulas and Karuhatan in Valenzuela.

Seized from the two establishments were 13,693 counterfeit Lee and Warner Bros. t-shirts.

The NBI placed the establishments under surveillance to confirm the complaint of Orion Support Inc., a market research firm representing the Intellectual Property Rights of Lee and Warner Bros.

The owner of the raided establishments will be charged with trademark infringement and unfair competition under the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines or Republic Act 8293.
